Vanished Landmarks from Fairhaven's History
Fairhaven was platted in 1883, became a Boom Town in 1889 and 1890, and was consolidated into Bellingham, Washington by 1904.
In 1977, Fairhaven was designated an historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. The district includes 17 historic commercial structures built between 1888 and 1929.
The following three buildings represent important buildings in Fairhaven's history, but unfortunately do not exist today.
Blonden Block (1890 - 1950)
Citizen's Bank/Sandwick Building (1890 - 1949)
Fairhaven Hotel (1890 - 1956)
