FAIRHAVEN, WASHINGTON

Fairhaven was platted in 1883, became a Boom Town in 1889 and 1890, and was consolidated into Bellingham, Washington by 1904.
In 1977, Fairhaven was designated an historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. MAP OF FAIRHAVEN HISTORIC DISTRICT
The district includes 17 historic commercial structures built between 1888 and 1929. Two of these buildings, the Terminal Building and the Fairhaven Library, are listed on the National Register. The Waldron Block has a local historic designation. DEFINITIONS OF HISTORIC DESIGNATIONS
